OUR NEXT TAX LIEN SALE IS WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2021!

  • The sale will be held in the Board of Supervisors Boardroom and will start at 8:00 a.m.  Parcels being offered for lien sale will be published in the February 10th edition of our local paper, The Parker Pioneer.  You will also be able to access the list on the County website on or around the same date.

The County Treasurer is an elected position that serves a four year term. Leah Castro was elected in 2012, and again in 2016, by the voters of La Paz County. 


The Treasurer's office is responsible for management, distribution and receipt of public funds. The office also issues annual tax bills and is responsible for the collection, management and distribution of property taxes levied by various entities within La Paz County. The office of the County Treasurer is responsible for investing County funds and delivering payment on various bonds.

Notice is hereby given that the 2020 Assessment and Tax Roll of La Paz County is now in the treasurer’s possession for collection of the taxes levied.  One-half of the taxes on all personal property and one-half of the taxes on all real property will be due and payable the first day of October, 2020. Such taxes will be delinquent on the second day of November, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. and interest will be added to the tax from the time of the delinquency at the rate of sixteen percent (16%) per year simple, prorated monthly as of the first day of the month until paid unless either: the first half of the taxes are paid before they are delinquent or the full year tax is paid on or before December 31, 2020. 


The remaining one-half of such taxes will be due and payable on and after the first day of March, 2021 and will become delinquent on the third day of May, 2021 at 6:00 p.m., unless paid prior to, with a like interest. The full year taxes may be paid at the time the first installment is due. The minimum acceptable payment is $10 or 10% of the payment, whichever is greater.
