What We Do
The County Treasurer is an elected position that serves a four year term. Leah Castro was elected in 2012, 2016, 2020 and 2024 by the voters of La Paz County.
The Treasurer's office is responsible for management, distribution and receipt of public funds. The office also issues annual tax bills and is responsible for the collection, management and distribution of property taxes levied by various entities within La Paz County. The office of the County Treasurer is responsible for investing County funds and delivering payment on various bonds.
